Day: #07 || Alphabet : G || Theme: Emotions || Word: Guilt
After overcoming the Writer’s block yesterday I feel I have achieved some thing that I can’t really explain but am happy that it happened to me. It was a learning a very important one as a blogger I believe. Already a week into the #AtoZChallenge and time seems to just fly. Today am gonna talk about a very painful emotion that can weaken any creature that tends to feel and understand pain, am talking about G for GUILT 😦
Guilt can arise due to various reasons, like feeling responsible for something bad that we did or some choice we made which resulted in wrong, our actions that have caused harm to someone. And once it takes hold; letting go of it becomes extremely difficult. What is guilt?
Overcoming Guilt is simple all we have to do is accept the actions/reasons which led us to feel guilty in the first place.
The earlier you accept it the more easily you can let go of this painful emotion. Guilt tends to linger in our hearts when we start regretting. At some point in time it is what we wanted hence regretting it at a later stage only makes things worse. Accept it!!!
Every dark cloud has a silver lining and every dark emotion helps us turn it into our strength. Guilt if channelized properly can become one of the most strongest emotions which can help us turn over a new leaf. It helps you start afresh, it’s a huge lesson that we can learn a lot from. A chance for us to understand the consequences of our actions and behaviour, ponder over it and then come out of it as a strong entity. Guilt helps us empathize if we reflect upon it and en corporate it as a learning.
Accepting the truth can be liberating. The day you realize this ugly yet important truth of life, you would be in a better position to act upon it. If this needs apologizing to someone – then you should. If this needs to make a significant change in our behaviour – then we must. Also if this makes you not being obligated to anyone cause you said no for something then definitely you should say a no.
We are all human beings and we are meant to make mistakes. Making mistakes is not wrong, not learning from them is one! Let the baggage of guilt go and make space in life to fill it with happy memories of the decisions you make. Forgive yourself, it helps you grow.
Leaving you all with another video clip. Guilt is not just that humans feel but animals too. Ettore the Labrador is clearly filled with guilt and desperate to win over her owner Anthony Federica Granai. Watch as the two take part in one of the cutest interactions you’ll ever see!This is one of the most cutest dog video I have seen and it’s just so heart touching. Hope you enjoy it! Having a dog as a pet is gifting yourself with unconditional love for a lifetime ❤ ❤ ❤

Another wonderful emoji! That dog is really communicating his regret. I wonder how his owner took so long to melt and what the dog had done.

I LOVE the way you put up your posts. They are embellished with not just awesome thoughts but also little pictures, snippets, GIFs, videos. That makes your blogs one of the most interesting ones. And this idea of selecting a negative word as ‘guilt’ was bang on!

Beautiful thoughts there on guilt. I also think guilt can get introduced because of the other’s emotional blackmails and in such case it can be extremely important to be able to say no or put your foot down.

Thank you for stopping by Deepa ❤ Yup absolutely right. I think thats a serious issue when the opposite person tries to harm you with the whole emotional melodrama.
